Product information
USDA Organic
Did you know that products that use the USDA organic logo must be at least 95% organic? USDA certified organic foods are grown to strict federal guidelines that assess several factors. For instance, there are no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers permitted in the growth of organic vegetables. In addition, these ingredients are tracked and maintained separate from non-organic ingredients, from farm to bowl. We work hard to pioneer pet food and pave the way for better ingredients and better food, for a better quality of life.
Global Animal Partnership (G.A.P.)
We believe that quality starts from the very beginning. That's why we partner with Global Animal Partnership (G.A.P.), one of the most respected animal welfare standards and labeling organizations. G.A.P.'s team of animal welfare scientists set the standards for how farm animals are raised, and third-party certifiers audit every farm to ensure these standards are being met. That's why you can feel good about giving your pet Tender & True Organic Turkey & Liver Recipe, because you know that the turkey used in this product was humanely raised to G.A.P.'s standards, including more space to move around, access to the outdoors, and absolutely NO antibiotics or growth hormones.
G.A.P. is a non-profit organization that exists to positively impact the lives of farm animals raised for food. Together, we can change the way our food (and theirs) is raised.

My 14.5 year old chocolate lab loves this food! I think this excellent organic food has contributed to her longevity and great quality of life. She is super sensitive to most other foods but she does great on this food. I’m also happy with the company itself and quality of the food is worth the price. Plus they ship for free and ship super quick. I couldn’t be happier.
While I've occasionally tried other kibble for my super~active Kelpie mix (to help keep the cost down) this is the one I much prefer (as does my dog😉).
I add a varying combo of raw chopped broccoli, blueberries, cooked chicken and turmeric all of which she loves.
This girl lost one of her hips as a puppy, and now people can hardly believe it ~ she's grown into an incredibly healthy, strong 4 year old putting on many miles daily running on the trails. I credit much of her wellness to a foundation of top quality food, which, I'm so grateful, is ethically sourced. Thank you, Tender & True!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! YOU HAVE THE MOST WONDERFUL PRODUCT. THANK YOU FOR HELPING OUR PETS, THEY DEPEND ON US TO FEED THEM HEALTHY EVERYTHING! YOUR AWESOME🤙🏼
I came across this brand of dog food after the sale of Castor and Pollux to Merrick, which ruined the brand. That was my previously favored brand. The Tender and True brand has the same quality and attention to nutritional detail. They do not appear on the FDA list of brands associated with Canine DCM. Since this is caused by lead contamination of pea protein in the affected brands, Tender and True must be very discriminating in choosing their suppliers. The only problem I have identified in their brand is that they put sea salt in their canned dog food, so I cannot use it. Sea salt is derived from our polluted oceans and is well known in the toxicological realm to contain toxic and radioactive elements and degrades human health as well as canine health. It is used because it is cheaper than pure sodium chloride, which needs to be mined.
I did do a taste test with my dogs using Tender and True and other acceptable brands, and they were preferred by 17 of 18 dogs.
My dogs love this flavor. Tender and True got them interested in food again.
