USDA Organic
Did you know that products that use the USDA organic logo must be at least 95% organic? USDA certified organic foods are grown to strict federal guidelines that assess several factors. For instance, there are no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers permitted in the growth of organic vegetables. In addition, these ingredients are tracked and maintained separate from non-organic ingredients, from farm to bowl. We work hard to pioneer pet food and pave the way for better ingredients and better food, for a better quality of life.
Global Animal Partnership (G.A.P.)
We believe that quality starts from the very beginning. That's why we partner with Global Animal Partnership (G.A.P.), one of the most respected animal welfare standards and labeling organizations. G.A.P.'s team of animal welfare scientists set the standards for how farm animals are raised, and third-party certifiers audit every farm to ensure these standards are being met.
G.A.P. is a non-profit organization that exists to positively impact the lives of farm animals raised for food. Together, we can change the way our food (and theirs) is raised.
Upcycled
We use Upcycled ingredients to help reduce food waste! These are ingredients that would otherwise go to the landfill, but still meet and exceed rigorous quality standards.
National Bison Association
Tender & True has partnered with the National Bison Association to source premium bison that adheres to standards that help preserve the growing bison population. At one time, bison were near extinction. The National Bison Association has worked diligently to restore herd quantities with their partners, ranchers and tribal leaders. The National Bison Association, along with tribal and conservation partners have thus launched Bison1Million, a commitment to restoring one million bison in the coming years.
Purchasing products that partner with the National Bison Association provides the need to continue restoring these herds, thus restoring the health of the grasslands they reside on.
Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)
We believe that quality starts from the very beginning. That's why we partner the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), a third-party organization, to guarantee that the wild caught salmon contained in each and every bag of Tender & True Sustainable Salmon Recipe Jerky Treats has been certified sustainable seafood!
The MSC mission is to use their ecolabel and fishery certification program to contribute to the health of the world’s oceans by recognizing and rewarding sustainable fishing practices, influencing the choices people make when buying seafood, and working with its partners to transform the seafood market to a sustainable basis.
Thank you for choosing seafood that has met the MSC’s global standards for sustainability. Together we can help protect fish stocks for the future.
